2026-2027 REGISTRATION OPENS JULY 1ST!!
THIS REGISTRATION PROCESS IS FOR:
Co-Ed Division 14U/Bantam
Vail Mountaineer 14U/Bantam competes in the Western Colorado Hockey League (WCHL) which consists of clubs mainly from the mountain communities - Aspen, Glenwood, Summit, Steamboat, West Elk, Telluride and Grand Junction.
USA HOCKEY REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT
Prior to completing the VMHC registration, you must register your player with USA Hockey and obtain a new USAH # for the 2026-2027 season.

14U Bantams / Birth Years: 2012 & 2013

- Fees include approximately 60 total practice hours, 4 tournaments (at least 16 games), approximately 16-18 league games, WCHL playoffs (2-5 games)
- Each player receives a practice jersey and game socks (to keep). Each player will purchase jerseys to own. With registration, there will be a link to purchase and pick a jersey number. Jersey number must be an odd/even number dependent on player's birth year. VMHC will be subsidizing the cost of this pilot program. The cost per player will be $75 which they will pay directly to PureHockey.

Example: Appropriate players at least 9 years old who have completed at least one year of Learn-to-Play.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Example: Season begins with tryouts in August and runs until playoffs in February.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Example: Practices and home games are held at the RecPlex. Games may be played across the metro region.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Example: Teams practice 2-3 times per week.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Example: Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Example: Club jerseys are required and may be purchased at TJ Sporting Goods.
Extra Costs
What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
Example: Expect team managers to collect funds to cover tournament entry fees.
